After my divorce became final, I decided to put my needs first from then on. I (42) gave my ex-wife and two children everything I had to finish the divorce quickly. As long as I owed nothing more, they accepted. But I knew something they didn't: an uncle of mine was dying, and he had only me and my children as relatives. But my ex-wife thought my side of the family was not worth talking to. So, my children had never met him; I had kept in contact over the years and had visited him regularly when he had fallen ill. As the oldest of my father and him. He had outlasted my father by nearly 6 years; he had worked aboard most of his life. Returning for my father's funeral and stayed, never married or had any children of his own. My ex-wife never realized he was very wealthy; he passed away eight days after my divorce was finalized. As I already knew, I inherited everything and was now much better off than I had been before. Like my uncle, I had worked very hard to get where I was before the divorce, working long days and weekends to give my family a good lifestyle. My wife filed for divorce because she said I had ignored her for years, while giving everything she had. I was in her way, as I didn't suit the social standing she had been able to join because of my hard work. She was surprised when I offered everything to her and, through her, the children. Couldn't believe it at first but quickly accepted it before I changed my mind. With the divorce finalized, I spent my time with my uncle during his remaining time. I had given my business to my ex-wife and had just left it for her to run. Instead, she sold it asap, so she wouldn't be seen running a business, I think. Where I went didn't concern her or my two children (19 and 17), one at college, the other going shortly. They prefer their mother to me, as they have always had; she gave them everything they wanted. Which I had earned the money for, but I was always working and hardly seen. So I was never thought of by them as providing them with anything. I changed all my contact details to move on with my life, not providing any of the changes to my children. After my uncle's will was finalized, I had the bulk of his estate as expected. I sold his house and moved to a small rural town well away from my family. But all those years working long hours meant I couldn't just sit around; it would drive me mad. I had to do something; I bought an old, run-down farm as a project, not to farm. I decided to restore nature and improve the house. There were some gullies on the land, and I had seen people restoring the land using rocks to slow the runoff of the water. That and fixing up my house kept me busy. I met the locals; two women caught my eye, unattached and sisters. Also, the only single women close to my age, another reason I was interested. At first, we spoke when we met in the town; all the locals showed interest in my activities. But they had horses and also needed somewhere to keep them, as the place they were on was sold. I told them they could put them on my farm, but they would have to look after them, as I was too busy. They accepted mainly because I wasn't charging them. I harbored hopes of getting into a relationship with one of them. Turns out one turned out to be both of them. They were all they had in family and had decided to stay together. After we had become lovers, I married both, you could say. By a legal agreement between the three of us after one got pregnant. As far as the town knew, I married her out of town. Her sister hasn't gotten pregnant and isn't really interested in having a child, but I'm willing to father her child if she wants to have one. I feel reborn.
