Unexpected Bonus

I (39) bought a small business after my marriage failed and I relocated to another state to start over again. The business was failing when I purchased it, but I knew it still had the promise of better times ahead. I knew of a product it didn't make, but its old equipment could make easily. The product was in high demand, especially ones made the old-fashioned way. My first week was adjusting the machinery to make a product; no retraining of staff was required, as they knew how to operate the machinery already. Same process, different product. But the office staff thought their number would at least be cut back. I did bring in a better computer system, but I had already made contact with the businesses that wanted what we were now making. It was as simple as sending them a sample of our product and stating we could deliver whatever quantity they wanted. Orders rolled in; instead of firing people, I hired more of them. But in my office, one staff member still believed she would lose her job. She was 35, a single mother of a 5-year-old girl; her father had cleared out on her mother getting pregnant. A straight offer of sex was her hope of keeping her job. I thought it over and accepted, but with a twist she hadn't expected. I made her my personal assistant/housekeeper and had her and her daughter move in with me. A year later, she was upgraded to my wife. Now she is pregnant with our first child, a boy, according to tests.
