Family Ghost

Growing up there was always the story of our house being haunted by my great, great, great grandfather Johnathon. I hadn't ever seen him myself and dismissed it as a story to scare the children of the family over time. I'm also named Johnathon and I'm the only one still living in the old house, My parents built a new house on the family property and left the old house stand empty for a few years. I wasn't good enough to go to university and just worked on the property. Then wanting my own space I asked and was given permission to live in the old house. With help of my friends we repaired what was needed and I had the whole place rewired (2018). The family had a large stock of old furniture stored in the old house or in a shed. Going thru the furniture I chose what I wanted put everything else in the shed. The only thing I had to buy was a new mattresses as the mice had made the old mattresses very religious (holey). I put a mattress in every bedroom, for when my friends stayed over at weekends. At 23 I had my own place, I was able to come and go as I pleased. I wasn't in a relationship at the time and had a few before. But I had a crush on Linda 22 who's father Herbert ran the local hardware store, she attend the local university and preferred to study than party. Then one day I was talking to Herbert and the subject of the Family Ghost came up. It wasn't talked about much these days, but when Herbert was younger it was. Linda was nearby and heard the mention of the Ghost. This peaked her interest and she joined the conversation, saying there wasn't any such thing as Ghosts. Herbert told her you don't mess with Ghosts, especially the Ghost of old Johnathon. I had to leave as my father Gordon would waiting for the pipe fittings I was there to get. The next morning (Saturday) I was in town again with my mother as her mule to carry everything she got. It's part of my arrangement about the house, but I liked helping my mother Pamela. She always provided me with cakes or baked goods, so you don't mess with the cook. Linda met us at the supermarket nd she asked would I mind checking over the house for supernatural spirits and Pamela was first to reply saying you don't disturb the spirits especially old Johnathon. But I said your most welcome anytime and she said she would be out that afternoon, then she left us. Pamela told it's on your head then if she disturbs old Johnathon. I didn't believe in the Ghost myself and didn't pay it no mind. My friend Keith was coming out that afternoon and heard at the hardware of Linda coming out to seek out the Ghost. So he rang me and said he wasn't coming as he had to something else important. When asked what he replied stay away from a angry old Johnathon, his grandparents had scared him witless as a child with stories of old Johnathon. I had heard stories as well, but dismissed them as just stories. But on the bright side it would just me and Linda at the old house. She up around half one and we walked all around the house together and nothing was found. Then as she was leaving she asked could come back the next weekend and bring some equipment from the university. Yes whatever you want I said. The next week it slipped my mind about coming back to look for Johnathon. While again in town shopping with Pamela we had to some wire clips for rewiring the chicken run. At the hardware we met Linda and she said she would see that afternoon and I just nodded. Pamela asked what's happening this afternoon and I told her Linda was bring some equipment to look for old Jonathon, both Herbert and Pamela told me I shouldn't provoke old Johnathon in any way. I just let it pass and after Linda had checked the house with equipment and nothing had been found. I said I thought Ghosts only came out at night and she nodded and then left. During the following week she rang me asked would I mind she staying the night on the coming Saturday. No your most welcome I said and I hoped I might get closer to her. We were a lot more friendly then before, as we hardly had spoken before. It was a great night to hunt a Ghost as it started to rain and thunder booming overhead and lightning flashes across the sky. Linda set up her equipment and nothing out of the normal happened, but we were really close together and I decided to try and kiss her. She let me kiss her and we started to get it on as they say. Ending up in my bed fucking and then going to sleep together. In the morning we both walked over to the new house and had breakfast with my parents. After which we returned and Linda checked her equipment and there was several strange readings recorded, but she said it be because of the storm last night. But from then on we became inseparable and just over a year later married (Late 2019). Linda still doing her courses at university and pregnant with our first child (a girl). No sign of the Ghost, but Pamela said HE's watching us closely.
