You never know till you ask

At work, I was just another guy among many. My section boss was the same age as me, but she was a member of the family that owned the business. Neither of us was anything special in the looks department. But I'm very fit, and she is very well-proportioned. Nobody had tried asking her out, and I was having a friendly discussion with her. I asked her out, fully expecting a refusal. Instead, she accepted, our first date went well, and the second even better. On the sixth date, we became lovers, and we married eleven months after our first date. She got pregnant fairly quickly after our wedding, and I replaced her as section boss.
