The Two Brothers

I 26 started dating the younger brother Donald then 26, he was the complete opposite to his older brother David 29. I quickly worked out I was dating the wrong brother; my interests aligned with the older brother a great deal more than the brother I'd started dating. The younger brother thought everything rotated around him and he was always right. The judge didn't see it that way however and instead of just paying a speeding fine, he decided to contest it and talked himself into jail for a month for contempt of court. While he was out of the way I bonded with David and dumped Donald. Which Donald took badly at first of course but then tried to change history and claimed he dumped me first. True to form as they say he had to get into trouble while in custody, just three days before his release was due, he groped a female guard and got the same judge as before. Not content to say silent, he turned a month into five more months. Then judge added the final blow having him sit for a psychological test. His father just laughed as Donald finally got what he deserved, father refused to pay for his legal fees saying he was old enough to pay his own way. His mother wasn't happy her little treasure was to be kept in jail longer. The family was very well off, and the father had finally had enough of his youngest son's antics. With no family support other than his mother he finally realized everything doesn't revolve around him. He got out just in time to attend our engagement party. Kept his head down as they say no causing trouble before his release. He had changed a bit while in jail but soon was acting arrogant again shortly after his release. His father told him he was on a financial leash, his rent and medical, car insurances would still be paid by the family all other costs would be his to pay. He still had his job with the family business; he would just have survive on his pay. His mother couldn't help him out as she had before, she had agreed to his being financially restricted. I also now working for the family business with my husband to be. Already trying to start a family. Our wedding is next month, the date only finalized once Donald had been released. My second choice was the better one.
