Her last Chance

I've always known my now wife ever since I can remember, our families are the best of friends and both wealthy. But I wasn't on my wife's radar as I'm a nerd the best short description of me. Always studying and never playing sports, fast forward to after I finished college, I was 24 and my wife 22 was failing college and was given an ultimatum by her family either pass college or marry someone acceptable to her family or be cut off from the family money entirely. She quickly realized passing college was beyond her at the time, too far behind in the time available. Of acceptable men to her family, she could marry was none at first sight. Then as they say fate intervened, a join family get together, I of course attended as usual. Never had ever been on her radar before, she was a little down hearted. It took her a little time to even register my presents and then she suddenly realized I was the answer to her problem. But she couldn't just ask me to marry her as I might refuse thinking it a joke and the family might also think of it as such as well. I'm well respected by her family, so it would be another nail in her coffin so to speak. But she could at least talk with me, best idea she had was asking me to tutor her for her upcoming exams. It was reasonable for her to ask me, and I agreed because of our family's long friendship. Not expect anything in return and she started to hang out with me a lot more than ever before. Well, we hadn't ever hung out before, I was surprised how often she came to me for tutoring. I'd expect once maybe twice a week, not the seven days a week she came for tutoring. Well, she was probably hedging her options, if she improved her grades, she might avoid having to marry at all. But at least she could show she tried. But our relationship became friendlier, a week before her first exams we actually had a date her suggestion. She just passed her exams, not enough to stop her needing to marry. So, her backup plan was progressing better as we were seen as a couple by both families. But not by me at the time, I still thought it was her need of tutoring. That lasted until we became lovers, then I became aware of us actually having a relationship. I was a little shocked she was interested in any relationship with me. But she had warmed to me also, not because she had too. But because we hadn't been known to each other much at all, just thought each other as polar opposites. Actually, liked being together and she didn't start partying again after the exams. She hung out with me and by the time of her final exams, we were ready to take the next step and marry. Both families now somewhat expect it also. We married after her final exams which she passed with some honors in her courses not all of them. But she still wanted to be my wife, even those she had succeeded in passing her college exams that was more than enough to please her family's demand. The wedding was 12 years ago almost 13, she hasn't regrated her marrying me and is the perfect wife and mother of our 4 children. Also, my perfect life partner, she runs the house and strictly monitors the children's education. No play until their homework is done to her satisfaction. She isn't the same woman she was before I started tutoring her, but she still enjoys having fun. With the families and makes sure the children get all the enjoyment they need.
