My Return

After nine years overseas I returned, I'd made brief trips home while away before 2021. But stopped returning after my mother passed away in May 2021. The pandemic had greatly reduced my extended family. As an only child and my father having departed when I was 12 leaving my mother to raise me alone. There wasn't all that much to come back for especially since my mother passed away. Only relative I'd left was my cousin Jessica two years younger than me, she is the shy bookish type. I came back mainly to finalize the sale of property left to me by my mother. With its sale all connections would be cut you could say. I decided to see Jessica and she like me was an only child and both parents deceased. She worked in a college library as a researcher; I rang her and we arranged to meet. She was the same as I remembered, still quiet not quite as shy as I remembered. Anyway, she was very interested in my travels, said she wishes she could travel like I did. But was too nervous to go far from home alone, also she was very bored with her job same thing day in day out. I suggested she quit and return with me and enjoy herself for once. Not thinking she would ever do so, anyway 2 days later she had a run in with someone at the college. Instead of just taking it as was her usual way, she stood her ground and then quit. She rang me shortly after she got home upset, she wasn't going to ask for her job back unless I wouldn't take her back with me. She hadn't stopped thinking of travelling abroad she we had met. I'd only suggested her travelling thinking she would never do it but sensing she really needed a Sea Change in her lifestyle I agreed. So will everything finalized we left. Back at my home base we settled in and at first, she just tagged along with me while do my work. After work we would look at the sights, Europe is a great place just about everywhere has fantastic history and great museums and everything else Jessica was interested in. While away we attended a local wedding in the family of a client of mine. We had a little too much to drink and on getting back to hotel one thing led to another and we became lovers. Not a concern to me, but I was Jessica first lover. But she wasn't upset by us becoming lovers, neither of us thought too much about it. But back at my home base, we were alone one evening, I was bored and not wanting to go out. Made a move on Jessica who willingly joined me in my bed, she sleeps with me every night since then. A month or so later she missed her period, only then did it click with me we should've taken precautions. Yes, she was pregnant no problems with our son she is carrying. So, I married her and next month we will have a son. We're quite happy together, I'm looking forward to being a father.
