Piff’s Very Special Anniversary Special.

Mel’s ever growing family of cute and unusual friends had certainly grown over the many years she had been spending at Nile Road, originally the team just consisted of her and Oats - and then Corey Covid and all the microbes joined along with Trump Cat and several other new friends but the biggest new addition came to join the family last year. Of course that addition was none other than Piff.



Piff was a Japanese pufferfish known for his cheeky personality and unpredictable nature and sense of humor, whether it be flirting with female fish or playing pranks, this fish knew how to cause mayhem and make the others laugh at the same time. He was discovered at Kelly Tarlton’s and was adopted by Mel on July 2nd, 2024 - he was given the name he was known (Piff) by Anglo the Anglerfish squishmallow who thought it would be a cute name even though Mel was against it thinking that ‘people would laugh at him’.



However it was that name that changed everything, originally he didn’t have much of a personality but he developed that personality more and more until he had fully discovered himself, and he was Piff, the cheeky and funny pufferfish. And now this little pufferfish had become quite the Youtube star due to his funny videos which had helped boost Mel’s channel in terms of views and had gotten a lot of attention, with Mel’s channel now having 266 subscribers all because of him becoming a superstar.



On the day of July 2nd, 2025 - Piff was getting ready to celebrate, he had just had morning tea with his friends and had thought of the brilliant idea to do an anniversary special, not just for his first anniversary of being with the gang but for all the future anniversaries too, as he gathered everyone in the lounge including Tangie. He had gathered the bedbox with him to prepare everyone for his big surprise.



They were all curious as to what the big surprise would be as he picked up a special item which was a magical undersea themed key which he used to unlock a hidden area in the wall, which they all entered - revealing a grand party room where all of the friends sat down and had a feast with him, he even made some seaweed sandwiches for lunch and made some delicious snacks to share with all of his friends.



Piff smiled as he saw all of his fans had brought him presents and he opened all of them, including a special gift he got from Suku. He never forgot when he met Suku, he met Suku at a bathtub shop - and the two of them became very close friends, Suku even had a Youtube channel dedicated to his love of Piff’s own videos and even did collaborations.



This was followed by Piff showcasing a very special short film he had made about ‘Super Puffer’ which was his superhero alter-ego, the short film featured Super Puffer taking on a league of fish themed villains and he showed his biopic (see Piff: Underwater Superstar, for that) and even showed all the adventures he was involved in.



Which was followed by a Finspan tournament and a fishing game challenge before making a coral reef cake for afternoon tea which he shared with his pals, he sang around and danced as he performed a funny song. He talked about how he enjoyed being part of Mel’s family and the hero team known as the Defenders and how he enjoyed seeing The Adamantiums and working with them to fight off their respective villains teams.



He showed his appearances on the gameshow ‘Get Your Own Back’ and told his fans how much he loved being on the show and about how fun it was to be on it and winning prizes, and even more so due to the fact he had gotten to meet someone who was a huge part of Mel’s upbringing and that was Dave Benson Phillips (Mel had told Piff and the others that when she was a young koala-girl she used to watch a lot of shows Dave was in) and he even showed his friends a music video he made.



Which was followed by an underwater disco and even a special behind the scenes look at how he made his comedy skits, which showed him using a magical pencil similar to the adventure he had in ‘Piff Gets Creative’, he used the pencil to conjure up a magical book of aquatic spells which he used, and they all had a party.



An hour later they had a dinner party together in the party area as he put on a special karaoke performance with Suku and even did a duet with Tangie, he explained he first met Tangie at the Retro Expo and fell in love with her, Piff made another special cake for dessert which was a fish tank cake with a pufferfish and angelfish inside and he shared it with Tangie.



Mel emailed Jill about their adventure as Piff and Tangie went fishing and caught a lot of fish together before having a karaoke session and showcasing a special morphing video of Piff morphing into all sorts of funny forms and shapes. When the party was over they all helped Piff clean up as Piff used some magic to finish things up, as they all brushed their teeth and got ready for bed.



Corey put on his bat pajamas as Oats put on his pink night-gown as Piff initiated a special anniversary edition of his closedown sequence. As mentioned and explained at the end of several of these newer adventures Piff always began and ended the day with an anthropomorphic sequence starring an anthropomorphic pufferfish that was designed to resemble him.



The animated pufferfish would wake up in the morning sign on sequence and yawn and brushed his teeth and showered, there would be a morphing background that went from night to day and a good morning message as the pufferfish’s pajamas would morph into day clothes, and the other way around/vice versa would happen for the closedown sequence.



Piff jumped into bed with Tangie as he participated in the closedown, using a magic coloring change background paint tool to morph the background into a night time one as he waved and performed a goodnight dance with her as they did soothing activities like making sea shell charms to add to her collection, playing with mini Piff and mini Tangie plushies and designing a special relaxing aquarium environment and even playing ‘Guess the Bathbomb Scent’ before Piff gave a heartwarming goodnight speech which was: ‘I have been with my family at Nile Road for 2 years now and already I can tell these adventures will keep on growing, with no signs of stopping except when it’s time to say goodnight, I first came up with the idea of opening and closedown sequences based on when channels like Nickelodeon would closedown at night and start again in the morning. And since then I have always included these as part of the adventures to give it a feel that is like a unique Piff way of paying homage to those days. So, we have all had fun today and I certainly have, but before we all drift off to the land of dreams, I say thank you all to my friends, and to you…my loyal fishy viewers, goodnight to you all - love from everyone including yours truly, the great Piffy.’



Anglo turned off the light as they all drifted off to sleep and they had sweet dreams including Piff who dreamed of many new adventures he was going to likely work on soon, and thus their adventure had ended.



But just because their adventure had come to an end, doesn’t mean that the adventures are over yet, so stay tuned for more.

This episode is a very special one dedicated to everyone’s favorite fish friend, Piff…it was July 2nd of last year I went on that magical adventure to Kelly Tarlton’s and adopted a brand new friend, a friend who would prove to be my biggest and brightest pal ever - Piff the pufferfish, initially my Piffy had trouble discovering his personality but now that cheeky personality has gained a lot of popularity on Youtube.



My account (NathanForester5993) has over 260 subscribers, or specifically 266 even though it originally just started as a channel with morphing videos and experimental videos, I started making Piff videos as earlier as last December when I experimented with Vidu and made an origin video for the character, adopting a manga style comic I had made on Bing and/or Microsoft Designer into a short series, before making many videos of Piff doing things like admiring bathtubs, dancing, singing, and sometimes going on adventures.
