Piff’s Quest to Save Mel

If you have seen the previous story about what had happened you’d know a bot had scammed Mel and locked her out of the account leading to her getting deactivated in the deviantart universe and now Piff is determined to solve this mystery. It was the day after the incident and Mel was still in a state of utter shock and a state of depression, she felt sad, she felt enraged, she had been crying in her sleep the previous lap.



It got so bad to the point of Mel considering cancelling their future adventures all together - except of course the adventures had actually not ended and Piff once again had pulled together a rouse, they never would considering cancelling the show under any circumstance and even when they thought it got close to it - it always proved to be the opposite. And if there was one thing Piff wasn’t - it was a quitter.



Piff was determined to help her in anyway he could, but he doubted himself because he always thought being just one fish he could not be capable of saving someone who truly needed saving, of course he was wrong in that regard because he had been able to do so much without even needing to be anyone but himself. He knew Mel was innocent, he knew Hyacinth was innocent, he knew that neither of them would do this on purpose.



He thought and thought about what he should do, and so he decided to put his detective skills to work, after seeing an episode of Unsolved Mysteries he decided to get inspired to do it as he began to narrate his very mystery hunting show. ‘Doppelgangers, evil twins, clones…they all are tropes associated with mistaken identities in fiction but what if I told you it’s real? What if I told you that it’s actually something very real and strange, and that it’s not some sci fi movie plot.’ ‘Oooh spooky.’



‘Indeed, what if these people are people that live among us? What if they are posing as us and are committing crimes? Well then that is what today’s mystery is about. I am Piff, and this is Unsolved Online Mysteries. Today’s mystery case - a user named Mel and her laptop humanoid friend Hyacinth were conned by a criminal posing as a user making a fake warning. The impostor conned Mel into changing her email address and hacked her account, who is this imposter? Nobody knows but that is a mystery for us to solve today.’



They had morning tea and some snacks followed by lunch as Piff explained the rest of the mystery, he pointed out all the clues. ‘There are already so many layers, more than onions and…ha ha ha ha, guys, I said onions!’ Piff exclaimed as he couldn’t stop laughing. ‘Oh Piff, you and onions.’ ‘What? I just think they are funny.’



This was followed by talking about storylines in science fiction and horror involving twins as he gave his friends seaweed sandwiches for afternoon tea while also acting in character, he had fun acting as a mystery host and telling them spooky stories. Mel smiled as she was glad that both she and Hyacinth were innocent, an hour later they all played together.



They continued having a spooky scary story session with Piff before getting ready for dinner, at dinner time Piff gathered everyone together and made sushi for dinner and they all had a lovely time before playing together. Piff and Tangie went fishing together and caught a lot of fish as Mel emailed Jill about their adventure.



After doing so they played games and they had a karaoke session together and afterwards they had a relaxation session with Piff and Tangie doing an ASMR session involving sniffing bathbombs and cuddling each-other and then writing wholesome Choose Your Own Adventure stories together.



Afterwards they all got ready to go to bed as Corey put on his bat pajamas and Oats put on his pink princess nightgown, Piff smiled as he initiated the closedown sequence which consisted of an anthropomorphic pufferfish wearing pajamas yawning as he brushed his teeth - running into a bedroom and jumping into bed as the daytime background morphed into a night time one as a message saying ‘you have been watching the Piff Channel, now it is time for us to dive into the seabed so we can explore the ocean of dreams. Goodnight to you, love from Piff’ ‘We have had a fun time today and we hope you have too, love from all your friends and love from Piff. Goodnight to you, love from Piff.’



They all brushed their teeth before they all picked pals to snuggle up with and hurried into the bathroom and snuggled up together in bed as they laid down, followed by Piff jumping in himself as he gave the special closedown sign off message saying…’The sun goes up and the sun goes down even under the water, so let’s all swim off into the sea of dreams to catch some dreamy fish friends, we are all getting ready for bed. So goodnight to all of you, love from Piff.’



And thus they all drifted off to sleep as Anglo turned off the light and they all had sweet dreams, including Piff who dreamed of being a mystery show host and solving a lot of mysteries, and thus their adventure had ended but more are coming up so stay tuned.
