Farewell Muppetvision 3D

Corey and Oats were always there for their friends including all their squishmallow friends, and one day their friends needed them the most - it was the 7th of June 2025 which meant only one thing, Muppetvision 3d was being closed down in favor of a Monsters Inc land which irked Mel and all the others, now prior to this Mel had been alright with doing adventures that had included Monsters Inc characters but she had started to tire out of it.
Mainly due to the fact she often got paired up with a monster named Marillion who was kind of clumsy and was a bit too messy for his own good and a bit too needy which made all of the others feel like he was trying to take Mel away from them, that day they all gathered into the bedroom to comfort Miss Piggy.
Miss Piggy was breaking down in tears and crying because she did not want to see the attraction she and Kermit had made their home leave, but Oatsie comforted her and gave her a hug before Piff got an idea. He used some magic in the bedbox to open up a special portal. ‘We can use this portal to go to Walt Disney World and see the last showing of Muppetvision 3d.’ ‘Sounds like a great idea.’
They had lunch before jumping through the portal which took them to Walt Disney World, upon arriving there they all headed to Disney MGM Studios where they were all saw the muppet themed land and they decided to explore it before heading over to Muppetvision 3D. As they headed into the attraction they all sat down to watch as they heard fans talking about all the memories they had.
Mel sat next to Miss Piggy and comforted her as the attraction started, that is when both of them saw Marillion - in the form of a Sweetums-like monster. ‘Mel, long time no see.’ ‘Is this the guy that keeps trying to steal you from us?’ Corey asked. ‘Yes, that’s him. He and I have a complicated partnership.’ ‘How come?’ ‘Well he’s supposed to be my voluntary pupil for me to teach my techniques to but he keeps getting dirty and messing things up.’ ‘Oh yeah, I remember the goopy alternate universe we went to.’ Oats responded.
‘A goopy universe?’ Piff inquired. ‘Yeah it was some kind of weird universe where everything is gooey and sticky and there were these weird goopy versions of Disney characters, mostly animals or monster characters.’ ‘Yeah and some of them weren’t very nice.’ ‘It was okay but not my kind of universe.’ Corey responded. ‘So is this guy from that universe?’ ‘No, but he kind of is sometimes, he makes a mess everywhere and is a bit too affectionate.’ ‘Oh.’
‘So Mel, what adventure are you up to today?’ ‘Marillion, we need to talk. My friends are very concerned that you are trying to steal me away from them, even my Lycanroc friend Connor feels like you are trying to steal me and Nathan away from our friends. I love you and your adventures but I think I am going to have to retire Monsters Inc related ones from now on.’ ‘Retire the Monsters Inc stuff, why?’ ‘Because Muppetvision 3D is closing down today and it’s the last day to see the show before it gets taken down and replaced with something Monstropolis themed and to be honest, I am getting Monstropolis fatigue. I will be retiring the Monsters Inc related adventures, you will sometimes still see me in that universe but not as often, out of respect for Muppetvision.’ ‘Does that mean we won’t be hanging out with Mike and Sulley and all the others anymore?’ ‘No, not exactly. I will be retiring from doing any further Monsters Inc adventures with you but occasionally will turn up and do solo ones where it’s just me in that universe. It’s just I’d rather spend more time doing adventures with my friends then with you from now on.’ ‘That’s alright, we’re still pals, right?’ ‘Yes.’
Mel hugged Marillion and Marillion left to go help the other muppets backstage as the show began and everyone was super happy to be there to watch the final show, after doing so they all had a party and had afternoon tea together - they even had pizza at Rizzo’s restaurant and they all played together for a couple of hours.
An hour later they all explored the Muppet area of the park before they all said goodbye to their friends and they jumped into the same portal they had entered along with Kermit and Miss Piggy and they all jumped through the portal again and jumped out of it, arriving at Nile Road, they played around and wrote some Muppet themed stories together before getting ready for dinner.
Piff made dinner for everyone in the form of seaweed wraps and sushi rolls and he even shared a meal with Tangie, after dinner Mel emailed Jill about their adventure before Piff and Tangie went fishing together and caught a lot of fish. Which was followed by a special karaoke contest with a final number which was a tribute to Jim Henson and the Muppets - which was a group performance of ‘Just One Person’.
After their karaoke session was over there was an ASMR session with Piff and Tangie where they looked at cute fish themed toys and sniffed bathbombs, followed by Corey and Oats and all the friends getting ready for bed.
Corey put on his bat pajamas as Oats put on his pink night-gown as everyone brushed their teeth and Piff initiated the closedown sequence which consisted of an animated anthropomorphic pufferfish wearing pajamas yawning and brushing his teeth as a daytime background morphed into a night time one and the fish jumped into bed as a message saying..’You have been watching the Piff Channel, we hope you have enjoyed what we have presented you today and that you will be back for more. Goodnight to you all, love from Piff.’ ‘We certainly made a splash today here and we hope you definitely enjoyed it, we are all diving into the sea-bed ready to swim the ocean of dreams. Goodnight to all our dear viewers, love from Piff’ would appear on screen.
Piff jumped into bed with Tangie as he kissed her and he spoke up…’This concludes the adventure for today but stay tuned for more tomorrow, love from all your friends at Nile Road and especially love from Piff. Thank you for watching the Piff Channel’, before drifting off to sleep as Anglo turned off the light.
Upon drifting off to sleep they all had sweet dreams of their Muppet adventure, Kermit decided to comfort Miss Piggy while she sat in bed, telling that while the main attraction that was their Walt Disney World home would be after this - more adventures for them and the rest of the Muppet gang were likely to happen again and they’d get another part of the theme park to be their home.
Piff had dreams of being on the Muppet Show with his friends and telling funny fish jokes as their adventure had come to an end, but just because their adventure is over for today doesn’t mean they are over in general.

This story was made to commemorate the closure of Muppetvision 3D at Walt Disney World and I meant what I said in the fic when I said i’ll be giving up doing anything Monsters Inc (in transformation stories and transformation adventures at least, for a while until I am able to find a way to cope with the loss) for the time being due to fatigue and because I feel Monsters Inc doesn’t need another expansion at the park because there already are attractions based on it, will I go back to it someday? Maybe, maybe I will return to that franchise in future Corey and Oats episodes/adventures but they won’t be as prominent in anything Pixar or Disney related that I might plan on doing in the future.
As of now though, Corey and Oats and the gang may still visit that universe someday and there still may be something related to that franchise adventure-wise but it won’t be so frequent, yes Mel will still have cameos in that universe as the form she is in that universe but there won’t be many visits to that universe. I feel that taking down Muppetvision3d is a mistake because that attraction is a tribute to Jim Henson’s memory since it was the last project he did before his passing, so I thought to pay respects to him here.
I hope you have enjoyed this story and that you will hold on to your any memories you have had of the attraction I have written about and don’t lose them.
