A few years later

At college I met and started a relationship with a girl, suddenly she just disappeared no notice or reason given. I finished college started my career and when I was 30 thirty my former flame reappeared. Not looking for me but just started work at the same business as I was working. She didn't know I was there until a week after she had started, I'd been away on contract negotiations. I saw her first and my first thought it couldn't be her, but it was. As she was in a much lower position than me, I called her into my office to find out why she had vanished. as it turned out her mother had gotten very sick, and she rushed home and had to stay to care for mother. Cellphones weren't a thing in those days, and she sent me a letter explaining everything, which I didn't receive. One other thing she had mentioned in the letter was that she was pregnant to me. With no response from me she thought I wasn't interested in her anymore, so left it at that. Her mother had died six months earlier and after settling all affairs she came to the city to start work and a raise her daughter now 7 almost 8. My daughter I hadn't knew I had, anyway I'd just been promoted and wouldn't be travelling anymore and was also entitled to an assistant. No guesses for who I chose, we didn't start up our relationship straight away. But did becomes lovers again about a month later and she and my daughter moved in with me a week before we married, now years later my daughter is in college. She is still my only daughter, but I've three sons and a great wife.
